Better indoor air quality helps:
Complete your set
...very often in poor air quality, which increases the risk of asthma, headache, allergies and sleep disorders. (Indoor air pollution is one of the top three global threats to longevity!)
That's how often health authorities worldwide recommend opening your windows. Experts agree it is one of the simplest and best ways to improve indoor air.
The rest don't, and 57% fall below the legal minimum for new Danish homes according to the Technical University of Denmark, bedroom study.
“Birdie is a playful home companion with a serious side”
No light, no sound, no screen
Unlike other air quality monitors, Birdie® will let you know when to ventilate your home without the use of annoying light, sound or notifications. Birdie® stands out by using storytelling and intuitive design as nudging mechanisms to encourage the user to take action on their indoor climate.
How it works
When air quality drops, Birdie drops. It stays "dead" until you open a window and let some fresh air in. Once the air is clean, Birdie pops back up. Voila!
ABS body with an ABS or solid wood bird.
The packaging is made from 100% cardboard.
Patented, award-winning Danish design.
Swiss Sensirion SCD40 sensor (NDIR CO₂). Accuracy: CO₂ ±(40 ppm + 5% of reading). Measures every 10 minutes, every 2 minutes when the air is poor.
Body: 95 × 95 × 28 mm
Bird: 100 × 50 × 21 mm
Weight: 211 g
Up to 1 year of battery life from the rechargeable 5,000 mAh battery. Recharge via USB-C in about 8 hours, roughly 1–2 times a year.
The original Birdie does not connect to an app & smart home, tracks no data or the like. It's intentionally designed to feel less like a tech product in a busy world.
The bird drops above 1,000 ppm CO₂ and rises again below 950 ppm, adjustable in the app. One Birdie covers up to 100 m². Mount it 1.5–2.5 m up the wall.

What a cute and functional concept!!
"We love our canary in a coal mine apparatus! Its one of those cute yet insanely important functional items one very occasionally finds for the home- and must have! Simply opening my window revives my little buddy and often makes me smile in the process."

Art that works
"Super easy to set up and it works! We set our up and after charging it and mounting it the bird fell down. We opened windows and about 10 minutes later the bird went upright. People have commented how cool it look, going to buy as a gift for a family member as well."

It's cute looking. Well designed. Will last a long time between charges. Add a bit of pop of color to the wall. Most importantly though it's a clear visual cue for my kiddo to monitor the air quality in her room and she's able to quickly convey needing a window opened

Warm, sunlit, and quietly alive. A tone that brings gentle energy without demanding attention.
Earthy and unhurried. A muted sage rooted in nature: calm, considered, and grounded.
Soft as sun-bleached linen. Warm and familiar, effortlessly at home in any light.
Cool, still, and open. A blue-grey that brings quiet air and clarity to any space.
Honest and warm. Natural oak grain that anchors the piece in craft and enduring material.
Honest and warm. Natural walnut grain that anchors the piece in craft and enduring material.
It's a nod to the old "canary in the coal mine." Miners brought a canary into the mine to detect toxic gasses. When the bird fainted, it was time to get out. Birdie does the same thing for your living room, minus the danger to any actual birds.
What our customers say about the Birdie
Virker perfekt, men det havde været fedt hvis der var en lyd når den daler ned. Ellers kræver den næsten at man sidder og holder øje med den.
Leuk en wekt goed
Love it, works great, looks great.
Birdie is an elegant and visual reminder to let some fresh air in.
My advice if you have white walls: get the blue bird. The yellow canary can be a little hard to see.
Fascinating little creature 😄🐤🐥
Love it so much fun…
A simple minimalist product with simple operation to keep the air in the room under control.
