How It Started

We spend the majority of our lives indoors in poor air quality. A huge, but invisible problem, that Hans thought was calling for a visible solution. So he looked for one and came to think of ‘the canary in the coalmine’ and the idea was born.

He immediately called his good friend, Andreas, to ask if he wanted to start a bird-company. He said yes and the two friends went on to turn the idea into reality.

After realising how expensive it was to develop, manufacture and distribute a new innovative product, they decided to launch a crowdfunding campaign to raise money.

On April 5th 2022 they launched a campaign on Kickstarter raising almost $500.000 in 30 days. The two entrepreneurs were blown away by the support they received from thousands of customers in more than 63 countries from all around the world.

What began as a hobby-project, quickly turned into a full-time occupation for the two friends who are now on a mission to improve the indoor air quality in millions of homes, offices and schools around the world.
